Anniversary
I don't really have much to say about the attacks of September 11th than I've said before, but I've just finished watching a slideshow of pictures from that day and it almost brought me to tears. Honestly, I hope it always does. I can't imagine a time when I won't be terribly saddened by what happened. As others have mentioned, there are a few days we all remember. For my generation, it's the day Reagan was shot, the day the Challenger exploded, and 9/11.
As it happens I had a personal tragedy to deal with as well: my grandmother died early in the morning of September 12th. She was in the hospital and weak from pneumonia and never knew of the attacks, and for that I'm grateful. But Sarah said it better than I could, so I'll turn it over to her.
To readers of this blog, to my family, to my friends (even the ones I've never met): be safe and well today.
