The Axe Falls
Well, today is my first full day as Unemployed. I got laid off Friday (in what financial analysts call a "long-anticipated move"), and now I'm looking for a job. So, if you or someone you know is looking to hire a professional network administrator/troubleshooter/computer guy in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, please let me know. Yes, my address is currently in Shreveport, Louisiana, but that's a subject for another post.
In other news, the "F" key on my keyboard seems to be going out. This is the only original piece of equipemnt left from my original '93 PC, a 386 running at 40mHz, with a whopping 256 meg hard drive and 4 megs of RAM. I even replaced the case about 5 years ago, and every other part has been upgraded at least twice. It's reached the end of the road, though. I've already decided that when I need to upgrade next time, I'll just break down and buy a new computer. *Sigh* An old friend on his last legs...
